Dr. Alissa B. Harris, Chiropractic Physician
My name is Dr. Alissa Harris. I am originally from Grantsville, West Virginia. I was first introduced to Chiropractic at the age of 8 after sustaining a sports related injury. It
was a local chiropractor that helped me recover quickly and without the use of drugs or surgery. Ever since then it has been my dream to be a chiropractor and help others.
I graduated cum laude from New York Chiropractic College and opened Harpers Ferry Chiropractic, PLLC in 2007. In 2015, I relaunched my practice as Harpers Ferry Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Center PLLC, in order to create a center for holistic health care that integrates different methods of healing. My original purpose of offering quality health care in the hills of West Virginia continues to grow and flourish.
In an effort to help I strive to foster a strong connection within the community. I lead many workshops and lectures about chiropractic and various health topics such as weight loss and detoxification, balancing female hormones naturally, and preventing cardiovascular disease. I encourage anyone interested in maintaining their health to attend these free lectures.
When I am not working I enjoy playing in the hills that surround Harpers Ferry, WV. I like mountain biking, backpacking, rock climbing, and walks along the Shenandoah River. I personally invite all those wishing to improve their health to join our office. I am very thankful to the people of this amazing area and feel blessed to be part of the community.
Yours in health,

Mike Holda, Therapeutic Massage
My name is Mike Holda. I grew up in Middletown, Maryland. I discovered my talents as a bodyworker at a young age. My mother suffered a severe back injury when I was 8 and while she was recovering I would massage her feet. From then on you could find me working on other members of my family. After spending time in AmeriCorps and finishing my Associate’s Degree at Frederick Community College, I choose to pursue Massage Therapy as a career. Completing the Central Maryland School of Massage program in 2012, I went to work at Elements Wellness Center in Washington, DC.
Simultaneously, I opened my private practice, Appalachian Bodywork, in downtown Frederick, MD early in 2013.
My experience has shown me the importance of catering to the needs of individual clients when addressing body dysfunction. The result is that every session is dictated by your specific needs. My technique is often a melding of all the styles and leaning heavily on the technique that your body responds to best. It's my hope that the client and I can develop an understanding as to what their body needs in order to restore it to a more natural state. Working together I know that you will be able to achieve the goals you're seeking.
When I’m not working, you can find me going on adventures of all kinds with my wife, 2 kids, and dog. I’m an avid cook who enjoys talking techniques and recipes. I’m always looking for good books to read.
