selfport

My name is Dr. Alissa Harris. I am originally from Grantsville, West Virginia.  I was first introduced to Chiropractic at the age of 8 after sustaining a sports related injury.  It was a local chiropractor that helped me recover quickly and without the use of drugs or surgery.  Ever since then it has been my dream to be a chiropractor and help others. I graduated cum laude from New York Chiropractic College and opened Harpers Ferry Chiropractic, PLLC in 2007. I am dedicated to offering quality health care in the hills of West Virginia.

In an effort to help I strive to foster a strong connection within the community.  I lead many workshops and lectures about chiropractic and various health topics such as weight loss and detoxification, balancing female hormones naturally, and preventing cardiovascular disease.  I encourage anyone interested in maintaing their health to attend these free lectures.

I also enjoy volunteering with various community groups, such as the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club. I especially enjoy working with children in the community and frequently visit local schools to speak to children about their health. As the area Chapter leader for the Weston Price Foundation I promote local, organic and sustainable nutrient dense foods. Additionally, I teach a seminar series through “Ways to Wellness”, a collaborative effort between myself and other local health care practitioners, intended to foster true wellness within individuals.

When I am not working I enjoy playing in the hills that surround Harpers Ferry, WV.  I like mountain biking, backpacking and walks along the Shenandoah River.  I personally invite all those wishing to improve their health to join our office. I am very thankful to the people of this amazing area and feel blessed to be part of the community.

Yours in health,
